Free Vitamin Shampoo and GUM Toothbrushes

Walgreens is selling this Vitamin Shampoo or Conditioner for $3.99 (regular price $6.99)

When you buy one and check out, a Catalina coupon (called a Register Reward) will print out for $4.00 off your next shopping trip.

GUM double pack works the same way. They are selling for $3.49, get $3.50 back in Rewards!

You will not receive a Register Reward if you pay for the special product with the Register Reward you received. For example, I cannot use my $4.00 Register Reward from purchasing Vitamin Shampoo to purchase more Vitamin Shampoo because if I do, I will not receive another Register Reward. BUT, I CAN use my GUM toothbrush Register Reward towards the purchase of Vitamin Shampoo.

Basically, I just alternate them. I buy the shampoo with the toothbrush rewards and the toothbrushes with the shampoo rewards. That makes this deal unlimited for the week.

sadly, you can only do this one item at a time, but hey, its free. If you need a fifty cent filler, try the Coconut M&Ms. They are 69 cents and YUMMY!!

Want to make a profit on POSTAGE STAMPS?

An interesting deal is going on right now. Walgreens has put boxes of Photo Stamps on clearance. These are the kits where you can upload your own photo to postage stamps and they normally sell for $19.95. The clearance price is $7.19!

So, you can buy a book of regular postage stamps for $8.80, or you can buy this kit (also 20 stamps) for $7.19, thus saving $1.61. You will be making your own ROLLBACK price of 36 cents per stamp!

But, the deal gets better. If you are a member of Upromise, launch the photostamp.com website through Upromise and you will earn $8.00 for every transaction you complete (appears to be UNLIMITED!!) Now you are effectively getting paid to buy postage.

If you haven't joined Upromise, you will want to click through to http://www.netperks.blogspot.com/ and click on the Upromise banner.

Upromise.com College Dream Sweepstakes

Note, the boxes of photostamps read: .42cent stamps, but the website automatically upgrades the postage amount, so you get .44cent stamps.

If you are not familiar with Upromise: It's free to join. You can withdraw the money anytime, even if it's not going to be used for education. Upromise has been around for several years and is reputable. You MUST click through Upromise to receive the $8.00 per box. If you go to the photostamps.com site directly, you will not be credited with any money.

If the kits are not on clearance for $7.19 at your Walgreens, be sure to have them scan the UPC. It may show up at $7.19 even though it's not marked. If the kits are not discounted, you could wait for awhile and hope they go down, or you could go ahead and get them a $10.xx because you'll still come out getting a great deal on the stamps after the $8 is deposited in your UPromise account

I believe you can request one withdrawal (via check) from Upromise per year.

So, right now I'm sitting here considering all the ways I can use these stamps. Obviously I will buy enough boxes to cover my holiday cards. They would be great for wedding invitations, graduation announcements, baby shower invites and MORE!

Remember ALICE from the Brady Bunch??

Now you can have your own Alice and never run out of anything in the pantry!

I heard about Alice (in Beta) this morning on CNN on Clark Howard's show. Had to check it out immediately to see what all the hype is about. Basically, its this:

Manufacturers have started bypassing retailers by selling their brands online at new ultra-cheap websites.

At this site (click banner and receive $10 free when you spend the first $50) you can buy groceries cheaper than at Amazon and they offer FREE SHIPPING all the time.

e-Coupons get applied directly to your order. No need to clip coupons to save money on these national brands.

Alice will even keep track of your inventory and let you know when you need to re-order certain products.

Sounds good to me. I'm going to give it a try!

Upromise ecoupons

Upromise.com College Dream Sweepstakes

I joined upromise back in 2001 and I haven't paid it much attention. But with a renewed spirit and their ecoupons program, I'm going to give it another try. I just updated my profile, added my credit/debit cards, entered my shopping cards and signed up for restaurant dining rewards. OH and I clipped all the ecoupons, you never know the clearance deals that might pop up out there!

Maximize your rewards cards

Making the Most of Your Credit Card and Frequent Flyer Rewards Points

If your credit card rewards you with points, miles or cash back it can be a real headache to keep up with all the perks, right? You might notice that program rules and restrictions are constantly changing, your mileage credits may be incorrectly listed, and there are those pesky expiration dates to keep track of.

Here are some sites to lighten the load for you to consider:

MaxMiles.com. The MaxMiles.com "MileageMiner" automatically gathers all of your frequent flyer balances and account information from airlines, hotels, and credit cards, analyzes the most current mileage offers, reconciles account activity, and sends you a personalized report of all your miles via email. After a 90 day free trial, the subscription currently costs $29.95 annually.

MileTracker. Miletracker is a free downloadable application sponsored by USA Today. MileTracker currently supports more than 105 frequent flier and loyalty programs. Once you create a profile and insert your multiple account information, you will not need to input it again. When you open MileTracker and tell it to display or update your accounts, it automatically and simultaneously goes to all the accounts your have listed in your profile, inserts your personal information required for each account, and retrieves the account data to be viewed on your computer desktop.

Points.com. This Web site allows you to track reward miles and points for free. It also allows you to trade with other users on the site’s Global Points Exchange, GPX, but there is a fee involved. There is a processing fee of $6.95 per trade, plus whatever additional trading fees that may be required by the airline or rewards program.

PlasticJungle.com. This is a Web site for gift card exchange and services, for consumers who want to either buy gift cards at substantial savings, sell them for cash, or trade pre-owned gift cards for others. Given that many credit card reward programs offer gift cards as one of their available redemption choices, this site may be handy if you end up with a gift card you'll never use. Plastic Jungle guarantees all transactions and offers industry-leading features like gift card replacement protection in case they are lost or damaged, and instant alerts via text or email. Users may list gift cards for free on Plastic Jungle, with successful transactions charged a 10 percent fee when their gift card is sold or traded. Use caution with gift cards since many retailers are going out of business.

Giftcardtracker.com. This site is more a less an online "reminder" service, in which you enter all of the gift certificates, online gift cards and rewards that you’ve accumulated and this site will store your gift certificate information and send email reminders regarding which cards you have and when an expiration date is approaching.

Free Grand Slam Breakfast at Denny's

Denny's is offering a free Grand Slam breakfast tomorrow, February 3, from 6am till 2pm to everyone who shows up (dine in only, but I did hear on the news something about a "rain check").

The meal includes two pancakes, two eggs, two links of sausage and two strips of bacon.

Free Medium McCafe Coffee at McDs!

Have you tried the new McCafe coffees at McDonalds yet? OMG, they are so delicious! Not all franchises are offering them yet and I personally visited 3 the other day trying to find one that did. There is only one in my area right now.

I just heard McDonalds is offering a free medium McCafe coffee (hot or iced) from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. every day in February.

Your milage may vary on this deal, since as of now, it is unconfirmed. If you find a participating location, please share addresses and information so we can all get our free morning java!
